Chelsea Handler Fires Back at Comedian Heather McDonald’s Claims: ‘She’s So Full of S**t’

Former Chelsea Lately writer Heather McDonald recently said during an episode of the Allegedly podcast that she “100 percent lived in fear” during the eight years she worked for Chelsea Handler. “I enjoyed my time there, I was happy, but I mean something would happen and my heart would be beating and I would be like, ‘Is this it?’ — you know? And then somehow I just managed to keep surviving,” McDonald, 45, revealed, adding that while she thinks Handler is a “good person,” she doesn’t agree with “how she treats relationships in her life.” On Tuesday, Handler got to share her side of the story.

While being interviewed by Howard Stern, Handler responded to the accusations made by her former E! sidekick. “Please, she went on tour with me the last year of my show so if she’s so scared of me, she was opening for me in places like, you know, in Northern California at a winery. She’s so full of s**t."

The Netflix star, 40, went on to explain that she "could have fired her” but “did not fire her” after finding out that she was allegedly trading stories to Us Weekly about Chelsea’s personal life in exchange for having her photograph run in the magazine. Though Chelsea noted that the two women were friendly during their first four years of working together, once she learned of her deceit, she distanced herself from Heather and “would never hang out with her alone."
