Kate was gifted numerous books for the children, including a Canadian ABC, a compilation of British Columbia lullabies and A Hero Lives in my Family, a story for the children of first responders to help them understand the often-stressful job.

"It was made in our traditional way with a little bear on the back [for George] and also a cape made for Princess Charlotte with a butterfly on the back," Chief Marilyn Slett told PEOPLE. "They were really pleased – I think they were touched by the gifts for the children."

The royal kids are expected to be seen on Thursday at a special party – where they'll likely receive even more presents! But they will have a ways to go before matching what George got when the he traveled with Will and Kate to Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

Then, the royal couple went home with a surfboard, a skateboard, soccer balls, a rugby shirt, a cricket bat and a pair of sheepskin boots.

In total, George received 121 items of clothing, 120 books, and 18 pieces of sporting equipment from members of the public – while in New Zealand he got 23 books, a special coin, 17 items of clothing, a DVD, and 30 games and toys.
