Channing Tatum Believes in Equal Opportunity Objectification When It Comes to ‘Magic Mike Live’

Channing Tatum is totally in favor of “equal opportunity objectification for everyone.” On Tuesday, the 36-year-old actor appeared on the season premiere of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to tease his upcoming male revue in Las Vegas.

Tatum explained that Magic Mike Live was actually inspired by a friend who was too embarrassed to tell her boyfriend she saw another male revue show in Vegas. “She was like, ‘I don’t know, it wasn’t cool,’” Tatum said, noting that with Magic Mike Live, the intention is to “make something cool” for the ladies to enjoy.

Previews of the live stage version of Magic Mike are set to begin in March 2017, and according to Tatum, women shouldn’t be embarrassed to go see it. “It should be women empowering,” he told Ellen. “I mean, equal opportunity objectification for everyone.”

The hunky actor will mostly be producing the Sin City show, but might he make a surprise cameo on stage? Check out this video to find out, and tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
