Celine Dion Has Reportedly Declined Trump Inauguration Performance

Her heart will go on — even if she misses Donald Trump’s inauguration next month. Canadian singer Celine Dion has reportedly joined the list of artists who won’t be performing at the ceremony.

According to reports, Las Vegas hotelier Steve Wynn had promised to book Celine but failed.

Earlier this week, Andrea Bocelli backed out of his performance. The Italian tenor received backlash from fans on social media and, as a result, decided not to participate. Meanwhile, country music superstar Garth Brooks has also reportedly turned down the Jan. 20 event.

With the struggle to book A-list talent, there is a sense of panic within the transition team. But counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway recently played down the reported anxiety. She said, “I can tell you that this is not the Academy Awards. It’s the inauguration for the people, the way that it’s been the election for the people.’
