Everyone can use a little Disney magic now and then.

Vocal powerhouse Céline Dion took her sons to Disneyland on Saturday to celebrate the sixth birthday of her fraternal twin boys Eddy and Nelson, with big brother René-Charles, 15, along for the fun.

The whimsical trip comes nine months after Dion’s husband of over 20 years, René Angélil, died from throat cancer at age 73.

“They are holding their own and trying to make the best of what life’s giving them,” a source tells PEOPLE. “ love Disneyland. They went for their last birthday.”

Dion, 48, seemed in great spirits for her younger sons’ big day, making funny faces for the camera and throwing up peace signs on one ride while her boys smiled behind her.

“Family time in Disneyland for the twins’ 6th birthday!” the five-time Grammy winner captioned a snap in both English and French of the family smiling for the camera while enjoying a ride on Pinocchio’s Daring Journey.

“#FunTimes #HappiestPlaceonEarth,”she hashtagged the hilarious shot.

The “Because You Loved Me” singer, who has worked steadily since her husband’s passing, is putting her performance schedule on hold for the holidays to make them extra special for her sons.

“She’s taking all of December off to spend with the kids,” the source adds. “She’s still grieving, but she’s doing everything she can to keep as happy and as healthy as possible. It’s all about the kids.”
