Casey Affleck Finally Talks About Sexual Harassment Allegations
Casey Affleck took home the Academy Award for Best Actor on Sunday night. But not everyone is celebrating with the Manchester by the Sea star. People have been bringing up Affleck’s sexual harassment lawsuits filed in 2010.
On Tuesday, Affleck finally addressed the issue with the Boston Globe.
“I believe that any kind of mistreatment of anyone for any reason is unacceptable and abhorrent, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and anywhere else,” Affleck said.
The 41-year-old actor has denied the allegations and settled the suits out of court for undisclosed amounts.
“There’s really nothing I can do about it,” Affleck added. “Other than live my life the way I know I live it and to speak to what my own values are and how I try to live by them all the time.”
