Well, this is awkward! Sure, there were only so many Balmain for Yeezy freebies to choose from, but Kendall, 20, and Caitlyn, 66, selected nearly the same dresses to wear at Thursday’s Yeezy Season 3 show. In light of this Sunday’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which includes the model blasting her father for stealing the spotlight from her, we can’t help but think it caused some strife between the two.

At Madison Square Garden in NYC, where Kanye unveiled his collection with the Kardashians and Jenners representing, Kendall and Caitlyn both wore cream colored turtleneck dresses, which were ripped and frayed to Yeezy perfection. The transgender Olympian’s frock was longer than the model’s and she wore tan heels to Kendall’s knee-high boots, but father and daughter were basically twinning.

The timing of the wardrobe snafu is interesting because in a preview clip of this Sunday’s KUWTK, Kendall is heard cursing out Caitlyn for trying to steal the spotlight from her. The call took place just prior to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and Kendall dropped the f-bomb while blasting Caitlyn for publicly announcing she would be there when it should have been Kendall’s night.

Kendall tells Caitlyn she didn’t want her to go, spitting, “You’re going to take the biggest night of my life and take it away from me?!” She then tried to ban her from the show, saying, “No, you can’t! You can come to the f***ing afterparty.” For the record, Caitlyn did go and generated a lot of headlines for her “sexy side-boob.”

In a confessional, Kendall explained, “A lot of people assume I get jobs from my family, but it’s actually kinda the opposite. It made me have to work even harder to get what I wanted, so I get scared if my dad goes, that’s kinda a media frenzy, and now it’s kind of all blowing up.”

In an earlier episode, Kendall also seemed to be having a hard time with her father’s transition when she told Kylie that they’re having difficulty bonding and she missed doing “boyish” things with her dad — like riding dirt bikes.

“I just feel like you guys bond so well because you are super into makeup and I’m obviously not as into makeup as you,” Kendall said.

Well, Kendall and Caitlyn both share a love of fashion. And, judging from yesterday’s outfits, they have a similar sense in style. Maybe they should replace dirt bike riding with some retail therapy.
