Busted! Britney Spears did not take her own food photo. (Photo: Getty Images)

Britney Spears isn’t shaving her head or swinging around an umbrella, but she is in the middle of a new scandal: corngate!

Our favorite Las Vegas pop star (sorry, J.Lo, you’ll have to prove yourself) is being accused of taking an image of grilled corn off the Internet and passing it off as her own.

“It’s honestly too good to be true mmmm,” she captioned the pic of three corncobs topped with cheese and lime juice.

Brit-Brit’s very random corn tribute was quickly called out, including by Twitter user @misterpreda, who deduced that she found the recipe by doing an image search of “grilled Mexican corn.”

The recipe was originated by chef Tyler Florence, a Food Network fixture, and it has a 4.2 rating if you’re a foodie looking for a corn recipe.

Now that we know Britney lifted the recipe, we wonder which of her other posts are fake.

You mean to say she didn’t take this photo of the elephants making a heart with their trunks?

That these aren’t her hands holding the fairy dust?

And that this photo of a woman hanging out in the clouds isn’t real?!

Ugh - it’s like suddenly everything we believed in turned out to be untrue. But, on the bright side, we now have one heckuva a delicious-looking corn recipe.
