It’s a Boy! Vanessa Lachey Surprises Nick with News That They’re Expecting a Baby Boy in Sweet Video
Vanessa and Nick Lachey are feeling the blues this holiday season — they’re expecting a boy!
On Thursday, the expecting mom took to Instagram to share an old home video of her husband coming home from his My2K Tour with 98 Degrees over the summer.
“I have so much to be Thankful for this year… especially our littlest Lachey. When Daddy came home from tour this Summer and we were moving into our new house I shared the news! Now I’m sharing it with you! I am so very Thankful and Grateful for this family of mine! And Thankful for YOU! All your Love & support makes what we do FUN and worth it! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Love, V,” Vanessa captioned the video.

In the clip, Nick rolled his suitcase into the family’s home with his band’s 1998 song “Because of You” playing in the background. The father of two immediately said, “I knew you knew!” and was met with his 4-year-old son Camden holding a giant blue balloon.
Later in the video, Vanessa handed the happy dad the couple’s daughter Brooklyn, who turns two in January. The couple shared a sweet smooch before the camera pans to a balloon arch spelling out the phrase, “It’s a boy!”
Nick reposted the video, and wrote, “Best surprise ever!”

This is not the only family fun the Lacheys have had recently. Last month, the family of four spent the day at Disneyland. During their time at the Happiest Place on Earth, Vanessa and Brooklyn rocked matching Minnie Mouse ears and Nick gushed about riding roller coasters with his mini me.
“I’ve been waiting for years to ride a rollercoaster with my son! Thank You @disneyland for making this happen! #ThunderMountain #Matterhorn #SpaceMountain,” Nick wrote in an Instagram post of the family smiling in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle.
The 98 Degrees frontman and his wife, who were married in 2011, announced in September that they are expecting their third child next spring. And the expecting dad is undoubtedly eager to welcome baby No. 3.
“I’m very excited to be a dad again,” Lachey told PEOPLE in 2014 before Brooklyn’s birth. “My dream in life has always been to have a family. It’s surreal when it starts to happen before your eyes.”
