If you're a single woman, and you've been single for a really long time, and you come home for Thanksgiving without a man on your arm (again), people will inevitably pass judgment. It's half amusing/half annoying -- especially for Kelly Clarkson, who's been dogged by gay rumors since "Since U Been Gone" hit the charts.
"I'm from a small town, so everyone's married with children or about to have children," Clarkson said in an appearance on Thursday's edition of "The View" (via Zap2it.) "It's a little hard when you go home and people are like -- and that's why people think I'm gay -- because they're like, 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'It doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat!'"
The singer said she hasn't been in love before, noting: "I've dated some cool guys. I've never met anyone who I'm like, 'I could spend the rest of my life with you.'"
