When Angelina Jolie turned up at the 4th annual Women in the World Summit on Thursday at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Internet lit up with stories on how gorgeous she looked, her lighter hair, her engagement ring, and her dress.

And, yeah, we should definitely take a moment to honor the good she announced she was doing while she was there, namely that she pledged to honor Malala Yousafzai -- the 15-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban in October because she wanted to go to school -- with $200,000 going towards the Malala Fund established by Vital Voices to benefit girls' education.

But, it's Friday and, let's be honest, we need a little schadenfreude to propel us into the weekend. Well, behold Angelina's gnarly toes!

Consider this proof positive that Ms. Jolie isn't as physically as perfect as we all once thought.

The 37-year-old's appallingly unmanicured footsies were spotted peeking out from underneath her loose, olive-colored Yves Saint Laurent dress and a long, loose, black graduation gown-looking sheath. Both were adorned with big tassels.

After being spotted last week wearing nothing on her hands but a gold band, the actress's engagement ring from Brad Pitt was back on her left hand for the big gathering, which includes speeches from other awesome ladies, including Barbara Walters and Meryl Streep (who dropped an accidental f-bomb).

Despite her feet, Angelina kept it classy and all about looking to the future when she took the stage.

"Here's what the gunman and the Taliban accomplished on that day," Jolie said of Yousafazai. "They shot her at point blank range in the head and it made her stronger. In a brutal attempt to silence her voice, it grew louder -- and she more resolute … calling on the entire world not just Pakistan to ensure the right for every girl in the world to an education. It is my right she said … it is our right."

After the teen spoke via video conference, saying that this was the happiest moment of her life, Angelina noted that her $200,000 donation was a "modest beginning for a big dream."

In other words, Jolie's views of philanthropy are pretty much perfect.
