Healthy is the new black.
Dramatic weight losses are nothing new in Hollywood, and in the last few days alone, three folks in the public eye have debuted trim new bodies for the rest of the world to admire.
First up, Boy George, who reemerged half the man he used to be at the What’s On Stage Awards in London on Sunday. Before his appearance he tweeted a photo of his svelte self. The “Karma Chameleon” singer has been chronicling his new nutrition habits on Twitter as well.
And George, 51, is excited about all the attention his body has received. In addition to announcing that his new album is in the process of being recorded, he tweeted on Monday:
I love that the size of my ass is trending worldwide!

Former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Chaz Bono has also shed several pounds since his stint on the hit ABC show. He told People that he’s dropped 43 pounds so far (43 happens to be his age as well … that’s a pound for each year!), and his goal is to drop another 40 more.
Cher’s oldest child first made the commitment to losing weight on CBS’ “The Doctors,” and plans to return to the show on Wednesday of this week for a check-in.
"That episode was the most uncomfortable I've ever been on television in my life," Bono continued to People. "I had been wanting to lose weight. It was something I had been trying to do and failing at. This opportunity just kind of came in, and my initial reaction was 'absolutely not.' And after that, the more I thought about it, I realized I've been wanting to deal with this issue and somebody's willing to help me do it, so I decided to throw my pride away and get help."
Last but not least, new mom Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi – who gave birth to son Lorenzo in August – has also been looking better than ever. The reality star shared a business-like photo of herself on Instagram yesterday with the caption “Glamorized for LA.” Indeed.
Snooki has tweeted that (in addition to exercise) her slimming-down secret is that she’s been popping Zantrex dietary supplements. Probably not the safest route to take, but it looks like it has been working for her!
Fortunately, good nutrition (along with exercise) appears to have been an important component to both Boy George and Bono’s weight loss success. The “Miss Me Blind” singer has been tweeting about using a program called “Freer Nutrition,” while Bono has been using the Freshology delivery meal plan.
Somebody invite these three to the Oscars red carpet this Sunday!
