Thousands of Badgley Mischka gowns have walked down the aisle, but, up until Friday, Mark Badgley and James Mischka never had.
The design duo – partners on the runway and in real life – tied the knot last week in a small ceremony at City Hall in New York City, they announced on Twitter along with a photo of their new rings.
Badgley's twin sister served as the only witness, a rep told People. Both gentlemen wore silver ties – Mark's a bowtie and James' long – with blazers and dark denim, much as they're known for wearing to their Fashion Week presentations.
The couple followed the nuptials with a meal surrounded by close friends, family, and '80s music in honor of when the two first got together.
The pair have been together since they met at the Parsons School for Design 28 years ago. The label they launched in 1988 has been incredibly popular with celebrities through the years – Queen Latifah wore of their designs to the Oscars this year, while Emily Deschanel and Helen Mirren rocked their looks on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards.
Carmen Electra, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Tori Spelling are among the stars who have worn a Badgley Mischka bridal gown.
