Tom Brady may not have won the Super Bowl, but going home with Gisele Bundchen is not a bad consolation prize. The Victoria's Secret supermodel greeted her clearly heartbroken husband with a big hug and comforting words following the New England Patriots' 21-17 loss to the New York Giants in a nail-biter of a fourth quarter Sunday.
The tender moment was in stark contrast to Gisele's outburst just minutes before. As she made her way through Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, she was met with heckling from jubilant Giants fans — and the Angel was anything but heavenly. After one yelled, "Eli [Manning, Giants quarterback] owns your husband!" Gisele snapped.
Despite turning her back to the crowd, the Brazilian stunner's tirade was all caught on tape. "You [have] to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball," Gisele, 31, vented to a small group of handlers, clearly referencing Tom's teammates Wes Welker, Deion Branch, and Aaron Hernandez, who all fumbled his passes during the big game. "My husband cannot f---ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Just days before the Super Bowl, Gisele had sent an email to friends and family asking them to pray for a win for her "Tommy." "This sunday will be a really important day in my husband's life," she wrote in the letter, which was leaked by one recipient to the New York Post. "He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl…Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday."
Instead, Tom will now have a lot of apologizing to do to his teammates, thanks to his wife's trash talking. Not quite as fun as going home with another Super Bowl ring …
