Pop star Rihanna is known for her sometimes questionable taste in clothes, and often even ends up on our "What Were They Thinking?!" list. Still, there's no doubt she's interested in style. So it's no surprise to hear that the 24-year-old is "pursuing a fashion line," according to an interview on Ryan Seacrest's L.A.-based radio show. "I'm working with designers. Designers that I respect, and [fashion] companies that I respect," she said. "I want people to really trust me before I just say 'Buy it, because it's mine."
The real question is whether or not fans will want to dress like Rihanna. After all, the "Umbrella" artist's wardrobe isn't always outrageous. Rihanna proved that on Sunday when she sported a drab gray and black hoodie-and-jeans combo as she arrived at Los Angeles International Airport after a visit to NYC.
RiRi's already had some experience behind the scenes of the fashion world. The "We Found Love" singer teamed up with Giorgio Armani for a small collection of lingerie and jeans last year and again recently. "It's like 7 to 10 pieces. Apparel and accessories," she said. "We've done the fall collection already, and it was very, very successful, and now the spring collection is about to drop."
