Most guys give their girlfriends flowers, chocolates, and if they're lucky, a piece of jewelry. Comedian and actor Russell Brand, on the other hand, bought pop singer Katy Perry a stunning piece of Los Angeles real estate as a Christmas gift when they were dating.
Best known for her catchy chart-topping hits, Perry, 26, married Brand, 35, star of recent movie "Arthur," in a private ceremony in 2010.
Two years after Brand's $3,250,000 purchase, he and his wife are listing their piece of Los Feliz real estate for $3,395,000.
Katy Perry and Russell Brand's home is remarkably free of the whimsical style that Perry seems to prefer. The Los Angeles Times describes the property as "stately" with a "classic exterior that belies its white contemporary interiors."
Although Perry apparently has a vintage pink refrigerator in the updated kitchen and Brand has a "25-foot love tepee" in the yard, neither are included in the sale. The only other eclectic part of the 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath property is the three-car garage, which Perry converted into a full costume closet.
"It's 60 feet of costumes," listing agent Ernie Carswell of Teles Properties told the L.A. Times.
The estate was built in 1922 and sits on a third of an acre with views of the Los Angeles skyline. A grand and fully gated haven, the property listing guarantees "privacy" for future residents.
The home features a "ballroom-sized" master suite with 13-footceilings, spa-like master bath and walk-in dressing room. There are 20French doors throughout the home that open up onto the sprawling lawn, terraces, and pool.
