George Clooney was showered with three Golden Globe nominations: two for his roles as a family man in "The Descendants" and as a married politician in "The Ides of March" and another for directing "Ides." But in real life, the actor is a confirmed bachelor.
The 50-year-old told Esquire magazine that "I don't talk about (marriage) because I don't think about it." Clooney may be the only one who doesn't wonder about his romantic intentions. Searches on Yahoo! for "George Clooney engaged" (he's not) are a perennial lookup.
The star pointed out to the magazine that he's already been married. (His union with actress Talia Balsam lasted from 1989 to 1993.) "People forget that I was married. I love that," Clooney said.
Still, that doesn't mean Clooney isn't capable of puppy love -- literally. The star recounted how he met and adopted his rescue pup, Einstein. Worried that the pooch wouldn't like him, Clooney rubbed turkey meatballs on his shoes. And, miracle of miracles, the dog came running. Clooney told Esquire, "He just thinks of me as the guy with meatball feet. He loves me. I can do no wrong. He follows me everywhere."
Certainly, all eyes will be following Clooney's date at the awards event -- but don't expect to see any major ring on her finger.
