On February 27, Oscar nominee Amy Adams got all glammed up for the Academy Awards in a sparkling midnight blue L'Wren Scott gown and $1.35 million worth of Cartier jewels. Although she ultimately did not take home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for her performance in "The Fighter," Amy, 36, had a much better prize waiting for her at home that night: Her adorable 9-month-old daughter Aviana.
One week later, Amy -- wearing a California casual ensemble -- was still beaming while spending quality time with her baby girl and fiance Darren Le Gallo at a Beverly Hills park, where the family found a shady spot for their lazy Sunday.
Like most new parents, Amy agrees that having a child has changed her life completely. "It puts things in perspective," she told "Access Hollywood" at a pre-Oscar luncheon in early February. "It forces me to sort of come down really quickly from these unimaginable highs and just come back to this very beautiful, serene reality." And thanks to the calming effect her daughter has on her, Adams wasn't as worked up about the Oscars this time around as she was when she was nominated in 2009 for "Julia & Julia." "It's easy to get caught up in these little dramas or disappointments, but [now] when [I] come home, none of it matters," she smiles. "It all goes away."
