The idea of Magneto marrying Professor X may sound ridiculous to some, but, we assure you, this is reality. Sir Ian McKellen, who played the metal bending mutant in the first "X-Men" movie trilogy, is about to officiate the wedding of his co-star, Patrick Stewart.

"I'm going to marry Patrick [Stewart]. I am going to officiate at his wedding," McKellen said on the U.K.'s "Jonathan Ross Show."

Stewart, 73, is set to tie the knot with his fiancée, jazz singer Sunny Ozell, 35, with whom he's been linked since 2009. As for where and when those nuptials are taking place, McKellen played coy.

"I don't know," McKellen said. "But in Massachusetts, in the middle of America somewhere, you get a friend along, and I read out the words, and Sunny and Patrick will then be married."

The two are set to reunite with their director from the first two "X-Men" movies, Bryan Singer, in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," due out in July 2014.

Still, this won't be the first time the beloved actor has played such a crucial role in a wedding ceremony.

"I've done it once before with two guys having a civil partnership," he confessed. "I was crying my eyes out.”

That time, McKellen wore "a white gown which I bought in India" for the occasion. Needless to say, we doubt he'll do the same this time. After all, "You mustn't upstage the bride," he said.

McKellen is just one of many celebrities who've officiated weddings. We can't tell you how to get one for your own ceremony, but we sure can point you in the direction of our full gallery of 'em!
