While continuing his whirlwind eight-day trip around the U.S., Prince Harry spent this past weekend in Colorado at the 2013 Warrior Games, where he was joined by Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin to kick off the competition honoring soldiers wounded in battle.

After the two lit an Olympic-style cauldron to open the games on Saturday, Harry joined the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" to Franklin, who was turning the ripe old age of 18. And as you can see in the video above, the mood was quite celebratory. The Warrior Games continue through next Thursday

On Sunday, the fun continued with Harry attended a cycling event at the U.S. Air Force Academy. While there, he even received a lesson on how to throw an American football!

Prince Harry arrived in the States last Thursday and has already visited Washington, D.C., New Mexico, and Wyoming, in addition to his time spent in Colorado.

He continues his journey this week in the tri-state area, with planned stops in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will take Harry on a tour through the areas of his state ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. In New York City, he'll make a stop in Harlem to promote British tourism. And in Connecticut he'll head to the Greenwich Polo Club, playing in the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup to support his own Sentebale charity, which helps children ravaged by the AIDS epidemic in southern Africa.

What a prince, indeed!
