Nothing was going to stop Farrah Abraham from enjoying her St. Patrick's Day … not even being sick.
The "Teen Mom" train wreck was arrested just after midnight on Monday when police in Omaha, Nebraska, witnessed her driving erratically behind the wheel and pulled her over. A Breathalyzer was administered and Abraham registered a .147, nearly twice the legal limit.
But she has a perfectly good excuse.
The 21-year-old single mother tells In Touch that her blood-alcohol level was so high because she was sick. In fact, she didn't even want to go out that night, and only did so she could make sure her older sister, Ashley, would get home safely.
"At 10 p.m., I tried to leave, and at that time, my sister was not ready to leave, so I had been sipping on drinks to pass the time," explains Abraham. At around 12:30 a.m., Ashley "refused to walk to the car," so Abraham went to get her car and drive it back to the bar to pick up her sister, who is also a single mother herself.
"When I was parked, a police officer asked me what I was doing, so I told him I was worried about my sister and I was trying to go home," she continues. "They insisted on the regular questions and asked me to get out of the car. I got out of the car, and because I was upset, I yelled."
Before Abraham's admission, it was previously reported that she had given police a hard time and that she repeatedly screamed and bit on the Breathalyzer three times before finally blowing into it.
"Because I'm sick, I could not give an accurate breathalyzer test, due to coughing and shortage of breath," reasons the reality star, whose daughter Sophia is 4. "I have a lawyer and all will work out with my ticket."
Still, despite her defense, many photos have surfaced since Monday of Abraham that night at a bar posing with friends … and holding beer.
Do you believe her?
