Does Taylor Swift have a new leading man?
The "Red" singer was spotted getting cozy with "Romeo and Juliet" actor Douglas Booth at a pub in London recently.
"They hired the back room and were in there alone," a source tells People of the duo's night out at the Holly Bush on Friday. "They looked very happy [and] were just smiling and laughing just like any other customers."
This isn't the first time Swift, 23, and Booth, 21, have appeared flirty.
In September, Taylor went to the Los Angeles premiere of "Romeo and Juliet" with her BFF and star of the flick, Hailee Steinfeld. Onlookers at the film's afterparty tell omg! that there appeared to be "definite chemistry" between Taylor and the British actor, who spent a lot of the night chatting together within their group of friends.
While it remains to be seen whether Douglas and Taylor's friendship evolves into something romantic, relationships have certainly been on the country singer's mind — or rather, her Instagram — lately.
On Wednesday, Swift shared a few quotes from F. Scott Fitzgerald's "This Side of Paradise."
"I'm a slave to my emotions, to my likes, to my hatred of boredom, to most of my desires….," read one photo. In the second, Taylor shared a picture of her journal with the following passage:
Another sign that Douglas could be in the "more than friends" category? Taylor does have a habit of getting into high-profile relationships around the holidays.
In November 2010, Swift had a brief, but apparently intense, two-month courtship with Jake Gyllenhaal, and last year the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer dated Harry Styles.
While Taylor clearly respects Jake (now), the latter relationship did not end well. That's why it came as a shock this week when E! News reported that Swift was house hunting in London near her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend.
"[Taylor] is looking at properties in London, but it has nothing to do with Harry," a source close to the singer tells omg!, adding that she looked at a few places.
Oh, and since we're on the topic of Harry, the same source insists that reports of Swift and Styles getting back together are also false.
Regardless, it sounds like Taylor has a thing for British accents. Can you blame her?
