UPDATE (11 a.m. pdt): Per the prosecuting attorney, Robert Kardashian appeared in court this morning with his attorney, Robert Shapiro, and pleaded not guilty to the two misdemeanor counts. Judge Marsha Revel allowed him to remain out on his own recognizance, over prosecutor's objection. Prosecution asked that bail be set at $21,000.

Rob Kardashian has been charged with two misdemeanor counts in his assault of a photographer back in March.

The office of Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey has charged the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" actor with simple battery and petty theft against Kassandra Perez (who also goes by the name Andra Viak) on March 22, when she tried to photograph the reality actor outside of a gym in West Hollywood, California. Kardashian was reportedly shirtless when Perez tried to snap pics of him, and reportedly claimed that Perez had crossed onto private property.

A warrant of arrest has been requested for Kardashian. Bail is recommended at $21,000.

Perez also filed a civil lawsuit last month, in which she alleges he "intentionally, willfully, wantonly and maliciously" ran over to her in the "public parking lot of a local gym," where she was "struck in the face and suffered severe contusions on her arm and chest, as well as damage to her property."

Though Perez claims that she offered to show Kardashian how to delete the photos of himself from her camera, he instead "removed the camera's memory card, threw the camera back at Plaintiff and left with Plaintiff's memory card stating, 'I'll pay you when I see you.'"

The D.A.'s office tells omg! that they have no idea when he'll be arraigned, and it could possibly not be for three or four more weeks. A rep for Kardashian had "no comment."
