That's one way to make a statement.
Reese Witherspoon landed at LAX on Saturday wearing jeans, a black jacket, and a baseball cap with a "City of Atlanta Police" patch on it. The bold look comes two weeks after Witherspoon, 37, and her husband Jim Toth were arrested in Georgia on April 19. Toth was later charged with driving under the influence while Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct.
The Oscar winning actress gave a sly smile for the cameras as she walked out of the airport with her husband and their 8-month-old son Tennessee in tow.
Witherspoon apologized on "Good Morning America" last week for her bizarre behavior during her arrest.
“I saw [the police officer] arresting my husband and I literally panicked,” Witherspoon said in her first post-arrest interview. "I told him I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things. ... I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It’s just unacceptable.”
Just days later, dashboard video of the arrest surfaced that showed a clearly intoxicated Witherspoon saying those crazy things.
What do you think of Reese's fashion statement? Is it in support of police, and another subtle apology? Or is it inappropriate? Tell us in the comments.
