Anyone truly "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" had to see this one coming: Bruce and Kris Jenner have separated.

The couple confirmed their split in a statement to E! News (who else, but their home network?) on Tuesday.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the statement read. "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Kris also addressed the split with Us Weekly. "We are living apart. But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family," she said, adding that there are no plans to divorce. "We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship. I will always love him, but we are longer a couple in that way."

The news comes one day after Bruce's son Brody Jenner confirmed to Great Britain's Now Magazine that the two have been living apart. Still, he insisted that to his knowledge, Kris, 57, and his 63-year-old father remained a couple.

"I stay out of their business, but as far as I’'m concerned, they haven't split up," he noted. "Dad's been in Malibu — he grew up out here — and the press has made a big deal of it. It's nothing to do with them breaking up."

Bruce and Kris tied the knot in 1991, bringing together a big brood that included Kris's kids Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob, and Bruce's sons Brody, Brandon, Casey, and Burt. They share daughters Kendall, 17, Kylie, 16.

Though rumors of a split have been swirling for months, the close-knit family has always shot down those reports.
