The high-fashion version of Miley Cyrus does not stick out her tongue. However, she does wear a little more clothing than usual!

The 21-year-old singer has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs's spring collection, and the first images show Miley with a new look.

The collaboration between Cyrus and Jacobs isn't surprising, because the two have a long history. The upscale designer has dressed the former "Hannah Montana" star for important events, such as last year's Met Gala, and she presented him with an award at the Fashion Group International Awards in New York City in October. She's even spoken highly of Jacobs in interviews. "I work a lot with Marc Jacobs. He kind of brought me into fashion, like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him," she told Hunger magazine in October. "He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces, and now I feel like it's just having the right people around you."

In the ads, Cyrus, who's been known to rock bra tops and bikinis on stage, is wearing wine-colored shorts and an elaborate, detailed navy top in the dark photo shot by photographer David Sims. Just one of her more than a dozen tattoos is showing as she stares off into the distance, deep in thought, even though an interesting scene — involving what appears to be a lifeless young woman and her possible killer — is playing out right beside her.

The campaign is further proof that Cyrus, despite her young age, is already a fashion icon. The "Wrecking Ball" songstress revealed in a September interview with Canada's Fashion magazine that the key to her style philosophy came from musician Pharrell, who worked as a producer for several songs on her latest album.

"Pharrell says it's not about what you're wearing; it's the way you wear it," she said. "That was a lesson I took to heart. I think it is important that I execute a look better than other people. Fashion is what separates me from everyone else."
