Half pint is off the market! Melissa Gilbert has taken the plunge again, marrying actor-director Timothy Busfield at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, on Wednesday, a rep for the actress confirmed to omg!.
Shunning a white gown, the 48-year-old, who is best known for her role as Laura Ingalls Wilder on "Little House on the Prairie" and appeared on Season 14 of "Dancing With the Stars," wore a strapless red tiered dress for the midweek wedding. "Thirtysomething" star Busfield, 55, went the more traditional route in a dark suit.

The bride's unconventional wedding dress -- which she tweeted a photo of -- likely stems from the fact that it wasn't her first wedding. Both she and Busfield, who have known each other for more than two decades and became engaged over the holidays, have each been married twice before. Between them they have five children — two for her, three for him.
"Wedding dresses no longer have to be white," explains The Bridal Bar founder Harmony Walton, who has worked on weddings for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, among others. "Blush and even bright pink gowns are huge runway and aisle trends and even bolder colors like black, red, yellow, and pale blue work well for the fashion-forward bride. Vera Wang just debuted a collection of wedding dresses with black and a few years back she wowed us with red, giving brides the okay to go bold on their wedding day. And celebs have taken note! Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel, and now Melissa Gilbert are among the recent brides to wear color. It’s a wonderful departure from the traditional wedding gown, especially if it’s not the first wedding like Melissa’s and the couple is looking for something different."

As for the couple's decision to tie the knot at San Ysidro Ranch, well, it's a spot that comes celebrity-approved. The ranch-style hotel -- which is known for guarding the privacy of guests -- overlooks the Santa Ynez Mountains and is a popular spot for famous couples -- from Jackie and John F. Kennedy, who honeymooned there, to Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman, who hosted their rehearsal dinner there last year. The hotel is best suited for intimate weddings and it has extensive gardens making it a picturesque backdrop.
"San Ysidro Ranch is great for celebrity couples," Walton tells omg!. "It's outside of Los Angeles for families to get that destination wedding experience but close enough to be easy and quick to get to when planning in a short window of time. The property is also small enough for a wedding to take it over so they don't have to worry about other hotel guests looking on or snapping up photos."
It's been quite a year for romance for the Gilbert family. Her younger sister Sara, the "Roseanne" alum who co-hosts "The Talk," announced her engagement to girlfriend Linda Perry, former frontwoman of the band 4 Non Blondes, earlier this month.
