Who's that? Macaulay Culkin looked almost unrecognizable—in a good way—at Comic Con in New York on Friday, October 11, when he appeared on the "Robot Chicken" panel. Last year, the 33-year-old thesp was rumored to be battling a serious drug addiction after he was spotted out and about in New York City looking so shockingly gaunt and pale that many fans feared for his life.
But that seems to be behind him now, as he mugged for cameras alongside his co-stars Matthew Senreich, Seth Green, and Breckin Meyer, all of whom voice characters for the hit stop-motion animation series. Clad in a blue blazer, white tank top, and black jeans Culkin showed off his fuller, healthier physique. He accessorized his ensemble with plenty of jewelry, oversized shades, pink fluffy bunny ears, and perhaps most telling of all—a beaming smile.
He greeted the audience at the Javits Center with a warm hello and (gasp!) even a joke. At one point during the panel, his blazer came off, revealing his more toned, muscular arms. Frankly, this is the best the star has looked in years, and he seems to be as happy about it as we are.
Culkin (who became famous literally overnight with the release of the blockbuster "Home Alone" in 1990) has done voice work for "Robot Chicken" since 2005. Now that he's looking healthy and happy, however, something tells us more work might start coming his way.
