Lady Gaga Cancels Tour, Her Fans React

omg! Celeb News

Don’t expect to see Lady Gaga in any crazy high heels for a while.

A hip injury has put the 26-year-old singer on the disabled list – and not only has she canceled the rest of her “Born This Way Ball” tour, but she’s facing surgery.

A day after revealing to fans that she was unable to walk due to a “show injury” that had left her in “chronic pain” came word that the tour was called off following a medical exam.

“After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip,” her rep said in a statement Wednesday. “She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.”

As Yahoo! Music reported, 21 concert dates from Chicago to Tulsa have been canceled, which is more than half of her entire tour run.

Unfortunately, it was necessary. The performer’s high-impact routine required her not only to dance on slanted rafters, but run up and down stairs, jump head first into a meat grinder, and transform into a motorcycle while another dancer rode on her back.

And did we mention this is all done in heels?

Gaga’s fans – better known as her Little Monsters – have been reeling from the news.

“I just woke up after I cried till I fall asleep and now Im crying again,” tweeted UnicornDoll on Thursday. “Please guys pray for @ladygaga shes my everything!”

A fan with the handle WongKaShing couldn’t even focus on his homework after hearing the news. “My friends can laugh at me all they want but I'm worried about @ladygaga and I can't focus on my hw,” he wrote.

And HausofMeg posted, “I wonder if @ladygaga knows just how much her fans are supporting and praying for her. #PrayForGaga #GetWellSoonGaga.

It will be a long road for the singer as she recovers from her injury and returns to dancing form, but – as you can see – she has a lot of support.
