Katie Holmes clearly isn't allowing her split with Tom Cruise to stop her from doing what she wants to do.
The actress has been keeping busy with her clothing line, Holmes & Yang, hair product line Alterna, serving as the face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and posing topless for a jewelry ad campaign. Now, she's rocking the cover of Allure magazine and talking about her future … one that may even involve a brother or sister for 6-year-old Suri.
"I don't know," she said when asked about expanding her family. "I'm open to it."
Another thing she's not saying no to? Becoming a lawyer.
"Well, my brother and father are attorneys, and – we'll see," the 34-year-old said in reference to rumors that she was looking at going to law school. "I like the practical thinking of attorneys."
Or, well, maybe that means she likes the idea of dating an attorney. Holmes has been spotted out and about with her (married) lawyer, Adam Schweitzer, so maybe she's seeing if such a match might appeal to her.
Speaking of appealing, we can't help but love what Katie called the best beauty advice her mother ever gave her: "She said, 'You may be pretty, and you may be talented, but nobody will remember that if you're mean.'"
Read more about Katie Holmes in the April issue of Allure, which hits newsstands this Tuesday, March 26.
