Nothing like a Super Bowl party to distract from those legal woes.
Justin Bieber stepped out in NYC on Friday night, hitting up Maxim's bash at Espace. The 19-year-old singer arrived shortly before 2 a.m. and was escorted through a private entrance, surrounded by his entourage and security team.
Word on the party circuit is that Justin was denied entry into at least two soirees earlier in the night before he landed at Maxim, which was presented by Talent Resources Sports and catered by Philippe by Philippe Chow.
Partygoers tell Yahoo that the singer looked good and seemed to be having a great time letting loose. That is … unless you whipped out a camera phone. Bieber's bodyguards tried not to allow anyone to snap photos of the singer, and they weren't shy about knocking phones out of the hands of people who got too close.
Sources also say that Justin did not appear to be drinking and stayed out until roughly 4 a.m., hanging mostly with male pals. The singer's most recent lady friend, Chantel Jeffries, was not in attendance.
It certainly has been an interesting few weeks for the Biebs.
On Wednesday, Justin surrendered to Canadian police and was charged with assault stemming from a December 2013 incident in which he allegedly attacked a limousine driver in Toronto. This, of course, came days after Justin was arrested for DUI in Miami Beach. He was also charged with resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired driver's license.
In L.A., Bieber is still under investigation for allegedly egging his neighbors last month. His Calabasas, Calif., home was searched in connection with the incident on Jan. 14, leading to charges against his friend Lil Za. Lil Za was charged with felony possession of both Ecstasy and Oxycodone found during the raid as well as a felony for breaking a phone while he was jailed on those charges, according to TMZ.
Considering Justin himself is facing charges in Toronto and Miami and still has problems in L.A., here's hoping his NYC trip goes more smoothly.
