Congrats to new parents JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher!
The "Reba" actress gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday, and Swisher has since been placed on paternity leave following the happy news. He is a first baseman for the Cleveland Indians.
Earlier this month Swisher could not contain his excitement when talking about the upcoming birth of his daughter during a stop in Ohio on Yahoo!'s On the Road tour.
"I am so excited," Swisher told Ben Lyons. "I never in a million years thought I'd have a little girl, but over the last six months, the pink and purple dresses that I've bought, I'm telling you … My wife, Jo, she says, 'You're going to spoil that little girl so much.' I can't wait, man. I talk to her every night. Jo and I -- we're so excited to meet her and to bring her in the world and give her a whole lot of love."
Garcia, 33, and Swisher, 32, started dating in 2009 before tying the knot in December 2010 in Palm Beach, Florida after a seven-month engagement. Famous faces in attendance included Jamie Lynn Sigler, Reba McEntire, and Lance Bass. This past March, Garcia had an equally star studded baby shower with guests like Cameron Diaz and Jenna Dewan-Tatum stopping by to celebrate.
This is the first child for both Garcia and Swisher.
