Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz managed to escape the chaos of Hollywood for a girls’ getaway in Napa Valley on Wednesday where they checked into the Culinary Institute of America for a two-day crash course in pasta making.
Witherspoon captioned a pic of her view from the airplane window on Instagram with the caption, “On our way! #girlstrip2014.”
The gal pals have been posting a flurry of pics from their vacay. Witherspoon shared a snapshot that showcases the whole gang posing in their chef apparel with the caption, "Love learning with these ladies!” And Diaz shared a pic of the crew surrounding a table in their aprons writing, “What an amazingly delicious, educational, and ridiculously FUN time I had with these awesome ladies!!!”
The A-list trio have vacationed together before. In March 2013, they attended a fitness retreat, Bikini Boot Camp at the Amansala Resort in Tulum, Mexico, and were photographed frolicking on the beach.
Diaz and Barrymore have been friends for years. In fact, in January 2013, Barrymore dished about when she first met Diaz, saying, “She was actually 16 and I was 14 when we became friends” She added, “We were both LA kids, you know. I worked in a coffee house, she was a model and I served her coffee and we had mutual friends.” Later the two co-starred in “Charlie’s Angels" and reignited their friendship.
And Witherspoon opened up to Red magazine about their tight-knit threesome saying, "They’re just as charismatic and fun as you would imagine, It’s nice to hang with Drew because we both just had babies and we can support each other. And Cameron is such a funny, bright gal.” The “Mud” star added, “She’s an incredibly sharp business-minded woman, but she disguises that side of herself. It’s her secret alter ego. It’s important to nurture your friendships and have fun because you can’t be a good mom unless you’re taking care of yourself."
