Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We have to confess, it's one of our favorite holidays because we get to see so many of our favorite stars giving back, expressing thanks, spending quality time with their families, and getting their hands dirty in the kitchen. Even Lindsay Lohan.

Yes, they let Lindsay Lohan in a kitchen. You didn't know, but apparently she's the next Rachael Ray.

Well, maybe not, but the 27-year-old sure got into the spirit of things Tuesday when she set off to make some marshmallow-topped candied yams (based on a recipe from "The Chew," which it appears she watches) and documented the adventure on Instagram.

Lindsay's culinary adventure, which will surely appear during her post-rehab OWN series produced by Oprah Winfrey, started like any other: boiling the sweet potatoes – we count at least four – in a big pot. "Cookin some yams!!!!" she wrote alongside emoticons of a thumbs-up, a knife, and a steaming hot bowl.

LiLo knows better than to watch a pot she's hoping will boil, so she took a little break to post a saucy selfie for her mom. "Hiding from the crew to send mummy Lohan a pic! #own #thechew #werk." Deliciousness isn't just for the food, people.

Check it! Lindsay snapped her fingers and those carbs were mashed and topped with mini-marshmallows and nuts. "Almost ready! #werk #cook #own #yummy! #thechew," she captioned the image of her work of art in the oven. Apparently, this wasn't the first time the starlet used her appliance either! As one commenter noted, "Girl needs to clean her oven," we felt a kinship to the actress. Ours needs cleaning, too.

Isn't she lovely? The Thanksgiving favorite appeared finished and ready to eat in this latest shot. While it sure looks tasty (even if some commenters do think it's lasagna), we're going to go out on a limb here and say that LiLo probably could've used a few more 'mallows. Maybe that's just us. Still, she makes sure to thank the source of her sweetness. "#carlathechew thanks for your amazing recipe!!!!!!!" she wrote, alongside an applauding emoticon.

And, now, the pièce de résistance! The smiling, perfectly made-up shot of the chef and her creation! Lindsay is styled to perfection for her big moment, lipstick, hoop earrings, and all (Your grandma doesn't wear hoop earrings in the kitchen? What's up with that?). "Yay! Finalement!" she gushed alongside two applauding emoticons and a thumbs-up. That's high praise from herself … to herself. #Werk!
