As Heidi Klum makes the rounds to promote "America's Got Talent," the model is also reliving one of the scariest moments in her life.
Earlier this month, Klum was on vacation with her four children and boyfriend Martin Kristen in Hawaii, where she rescued her two nannies and 7-year-old son Henry from drowning.
"It all happens so fast," Klum, 39, recalls on Friday's episode of "The Ellen Degeneres Show." "It was so scary. I mean it happens in a second."
In fact, the "America's Got Talent" judge credits her kids' swimming teacher with helping her to pull off such a rescue. "He always told me when you're in the water, you have to be really calm and you can't stress out, and that's what I did."
"[Henry] remembers his swimming teacher," Klum continues. "And he taught all of my four children how to swim—even the little one [Lou]. She is 3 1/2. If she goes in the pool, she knows what to do. She swims to the side and climbs out."
Luckily, "everyone is fine" now, Klum also revealed on Today.
"Just shows in life you never know what's going to happen," the blonde beauty said. "In one second everything is fine and all of a sudden the next second your son is, like, swooshed by a wave and in the ocean."
Here's hoping life is a bit less dramatic for Klum on set of "America's Got Talent."
