Frances Bean Cobain, the 20-year-old daughter of the late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain, revealed on Twitter Thursday that her dog Uncle Fester will no longer be by her side.

"My sweet french bulldog, Uncle Fester, died today," wrote Cobain, who has dabbled in drawing and music. "I am beyond devastated. He died during surgery whilst under anesthesia so essentially he died in his sleep, which is all I could've asked for. I am greatful his suffering has ended & that he is somewhere peacful without pain. I will miss his giant head and alien/gremlin personality & his big dumb dopey grin."

She continued her eulogy with a promise that, "He will forever be embedded in my heart & I will miss him eternally. I'm greatful for the love he exuded & the happiness that filled my life because of his existence. I just hope he felt as though he lived a fulfilled & happy life surrounded in love. I gave him the best life I was capable of giving & loved him with every ounce of my being. R.I.P. little alien gremlin big head. Love mommy."

The adorable Uncle Fester had been with Cobain for years, and he was reportedly named in a restraining order that she took out against her mother Courtney Love in 2009. The rock royalty sought to keep Love away from the pup, along with herself, and her grandmother and aunt on Kurt's side that she lived with on and off during her childhood. The papers claimed Love was a danger to her daughter's pets, and had already caused the death of a cat by allowing it to get tangled up in fabric, and another dog by allowing it to eat her medication.

"[She] has taken drugs for as long as I can remember," she wrote in the court documents, according to ABC News. "She basically exists now on ... Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes. She rarely eats ... She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives."

Love and her daughter have since become civil enough to exchange tweets on Christmas Day 2012.

However, Cobain regularly keeps company with her rocker fiancé Isaiah Silva, and her remaining pets: two cats.
