Kim Porter, who's best known as the former longtime love of Sean "Diddy" Combs, is being accused of being a really bad boss -- and a questionable mom.
Dawn Drago, the former nanny of Porter's twin daughters -- the now-6-and-a-half-year-old D'Lila and Jessie James -- with Combs, filed a lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica, California, seeking an unspecified amount of money from her former employer for allegedly abusing her, not paying her correctly, and wrongfully terminating her when she complained. Drago claims that Porter required long hours, yelled at her, even struck her at one point, and constantly subjected Drago and her twin charges to marijuana smoke during her employment for almost two years. The job ended in June, allegedly when Drago complained about the secondhand smoke.
Porter has yet to respond to omg!'s request for comment.
Patrick Reider, Drago's attorney from the Southern Calfornia-based Arminak Reider Law Firm, explains that his client claims to have witnesed a couple of incidents in which the girls were exposed to other drugs.
"She was driving the children to school when one of them had gone into a bag of some sort with a white substance in it, most likely cocaine, and the kids actually had it all over them," Reider says. "So Ms. Drago had to pull the car over, get the kids out of the car, brush it off of them, take the bag away. The bag also had pills inside, which were kinda clear capsules with white powder inside of them."
Drago also alleges that Porter, who dated Diddy for more than a decade before their last split in 2007, provided terrible working conditions. She expected her to work up to 70 hours a week and to spend the night twice a week.
"Ms. Drago is alleging that she basically had to work all the time, wasn't allowed to take any lunch breaks, or leave the residence during the time she was working there; and she worked an extraordinary amount of time. About half the lawsuit is about the hours she was working there and the fact that use wasn't being paid properly."
Reider adds that, "Regardless of who your employer is, we think the labor laws of the state have to be enforced."
In addition to the twins, Porter and Combs share a 15-year-old son, Christian. Diddy also acts as a dad to Porter's son, Quincy, 21.
