No bones about it — Julianne Hough is embracing the dark side, at least when it comes to fashion!
While we have a good five months to go before Halloween rolls around, the bubbly 24-year-old "Footloose" actress and dancer seemed to get her fix of the ghoulish holiday on Friday when she donned an all-black ensemble — complete with skeleton slippers! — for a flight from Los Angeles to London.
Ryan Seacrest's ex, who seems to be enjoying the single life, was dressed head to toe in the dark hue, including a hat and a leather jacket. But it was really her footwear that stood out. She had on Mara and Mine's Jem Skull Slipper, which boasts a silver embroidered foot skeleton pattern on the tops. The suede loafers, a gift from stylist Anita Patrickson, retail for $350.
And Hough is a big fan of the footwear. While traveling, the "Dancing With the Stars" alum took to Instagram to rave about her "rad shoes." She shared a close-up photo of them, tagging the pic, "#obsessed," "#Iwantmore," and "#bestsurpriseever."
The chilling pattern aside, Hough's travel style is practical compared to, say, Kim Kardashian's typical flight fashion. (We'll never get over seeing the reality star wearing black leather pants and carrying a fur coat at the Miami airport last year when it was over 90 degrees.)
"Unless you are a Kardashian, the days of dressing up for a flight are long gone, and now it's all about comfort," travel expert Josey Miller told omg! about Hough's look. "But that doesn't mean you have to look sloppy. Julianne may feel like she's wearing her pajamas and slippers, but her head-to-toe black ensemble — especially those bad-a-- skeleton smoking shoes — looks edgy and chic."
Hough has been keeping things casual during her travels recently. Last month, when returning home after a weekend away with her fellow single gal pal Nina Dobrev, she sported supershort Daisy Dukes to the delight of onlookers at LAX.
