The bride wore green!
Tina Turner married longtime partner, music producer Erwin Bach, in Switzerland last week, and the newlyweds threw a star-studded party at their Swiss villa estate on Lake Zurich on Sunday to celebrate the nuptials.
Women were asked to wear white while men donned formal suits to the Buddhist-inspired wedding, so the 73-year-old bride definitely stood out in her custom-designed green Armani wedding dress.
Per tradition, attendees participated in a Buddhist blessing ritual where guests poured water over the couple's hands. Turner has been practicing the faith since the '70s. Within the Buddhist religion, colors play an important role and green symbolizes balance and harmony. Perhaps Tina's wedding dress color of choice had more to do than just fashion…
According to local reports, about 120 guests attended the ceremony including Oprah, David Bowie, Bryan Adams, Sade, and Giorgio Armani. The lavish affair was decorated with 70,000 red and yellow roses from Holland.
Turner and Bach, 57, have been together for 27 years. This is Erwin's first marriage and Tina's second.
