Catherine Zeta-Jones has apparently been spending time in Greenwich, Connecticut, to reflect on her marriage to Michael Douglas.
The Oscar-winning actress was photographed in the small town just outside of New York City on Wednesday. Zeta-Jones, 43, smoked a cigarette as she walked around in an all black ensemble. The "Red 2" star noticeably had her wedding ring on display.
Douglas, 68, also resurfaced wearing his wedding ring in Berlin on Monday.
While promoting "Behind the Candelabra," the Oscar-winning actor scoffed at reports he was having marital troubles.
"I have a crisis at home? No, I think the press has a crisis," he told reporters on the red carpet. "We, we are fine. My wife and I are, are fine. We take a temporary separation, but the press, it gives you stuff to write about."
Last week, reps for both actors confirmed to omg! that Catherine and Michael were taking a break:
"Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage. There will be no further comment."
Douglas and Zeta-Jones have been married for 13 years, but have not been photographed together since April 22.
"[Catherine]'s determined that it be life as usual [for the kids]," a source told People, which first broke the news the couple was temporarily separated. A source close to the family also noted that Catherine has been horseback riding and swimming with their kids, Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10, during these last days of summer.
Meanwhile, Michael isn't shying away from the spotlight in the upcoming weeks. It was just announced he and Matt Damon will be presenters at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards on September 22 in Los Angeles.
