Beverley Mitchell, best known for her role on the long-running family-friendly CW show "7th Heaven," is starting a family of her own.
The 32-year-old actress, and her husband, accountant Michael Cameron, have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kenzie Lynne, according to People. The baby girl weighed 5 lbs., 15 oz and measured 18-and-a-half inches when she was born in Santa Monica, California, on March 28.
"We have fallen instantly in love and can't wait to be the best parents we can to our beautiful little angel," Mitchell tells the magazine. "Thank you for all the love and well wishes. Mom, Kenzie and Dad are settling in perfectly!"
Mitchell, who's most recently appeared on ABC Family's "The Secret Life if the American Teenager," gave a hint that something wonderful was going on last week on the day of Kenzie's birth.
"Wishing everyone a truly beautiful day! Sending out crazy love to the world!!" she tweeted. "A truly gorgeous spring day!!! #blessed #happy #grateful."
The former Lucy Camden announced her pregnancy in November, noting that her "7th Heaven" co-star Jessica Biel, who also served as a bridesmaid at her wedding, was one of the first to know about her news.
"I started crying," Mitchell says. "It was really exciting to share that with Auntie Jess."
Mitchell and Cameron married in 2008.
