Both Eva Longoria and Ginnifer Goodwin have starred on hour-long dramas on ABC's Sunday night, but that's not the only thing that they've shared! They each recently stepped out in the same silk-chiffon Monique Lhuillier dress just four months apart. "Desperate Housewives" diva Longoria and "Once Upon a Time" princess Goodwin have left us with quite the designer dilemma. It's time for us to decide ... who wore it best?!
Longoria, 37, wore the dress as she hosted the 2012 American Latino Media Arts Awards in L.A. on September 16. The hostess sported the frock in black with black sandals by Tom Ford, and swept her hair into a dramatic updo. Believe it or not, the elegant look was only the first of 10 that she donned that evening while sharing the stage with her pal George Lopez.
Goodwin, 34, opted for a tangerine version of the dress at the Met Gala in NYC on May 7. The short-haired actress accessorized her garment with silver pumps by Brian Atwood and jewels by H. Stern. "I feel that I am still in a phase of my life where I love classic shapes with very modern, pinky twists," the "He's Just Not That Into You" star recently explained to People.
Wow — what a gorgeous choice of gown, ladies! This dress, with its intricate detailing near the neckline and the beautiful way it drapes at the bottom, is an example of why Lhuillier is one of the foremost designers of wedding dresses today. Can't you just picture a bride wearing it in white? I will say that I prefer Goodwin's shade of orange over Longoria's basic black. In addition, the length of the gown looks better on the 5'6" Goodwin than on the petite 5'2" Longoria, who it almost overwhelms. However, Longoria has the edge when it comes to the shoes. While both ladies put up a solid fight in this faceoff, I say the winner is ... Goodwin. Do you agree?
