Beyoncé’s Mom and Kelly Rowland Arrive to Jay Z’s Super-Private Birthday Bash

Jay Z has 47 years under his belt, and he’s celebrating with family and friends.

The rapper got the party going on the eve of his actual birthday (which is Sunday), with a bash at the Republique restaurant in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

Although tarps were hung to ensure the privacy of the event, many celebrities close to Jay Z were photographed on their way into the venue.

Beyoncé‘s former Destiny’s Child groupmate and close friend Kelly Rowland pulled up to the event with her husband, Tim Witherspoon, wearing a long silver coat and matching wide-brim hat.

Rowland also mingled with Jay Z’s mother-in-law Tina Lawson, who arrived with husband Richard Lawson in the passenger’s seat.

Before heading out for the night’s celebration, the couple chowed down at Buffalo Wild Wings.

In an Instagram video, Tina tells her husband she’s “feeling wild” and going to try some hot wings.

“When your walk on the wild side is having some hot wings on a Saturday afternoon at a place called ‘Wild Wings,’ ” she captioned the video.

When the camera turns on Richard, he proudly announces he’s drinking strawberry lemonade. Perhaps it’s a nod to Beyoncé’s visual album?
