Benedict Cumberbatch Proves He’s an Otter
Benedict Cumberbatch made Internet fantasies come true on Friday when he stopped by The Graham Norton Show.
The 39-year-old was joined by Johnny Depp when Norton brought up fan-made memes comparing his unique facial expressions to otters. “Are you aware of this, Johnny Depp?” Norton asked the Cumberbatch’s Black Mass co-star. “When Benedict became famous, one of the first things that happened was — this is so random — his fans decided that he looked very like an otter. Are you aware of this?” Depp looked puzzled as the audience burst in to laughter.
After presenting several examples of Cumberbatch side-by-side with the furry creature, he asked the British actor if he’d bring the stills to life. The Imitation Game star kindly obliged and the result is TV magic.
