Ben Affleck Calls Jennifer Garner a ‘Superhero Mom’: ‘I’m Really Lucky to Have Her’

Ben Affleck may play Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but he insists that his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, is the person to be awe of.

“Jen is a superhero mom. She is an amazing mother and I’m really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with,” the 43-year-old father of Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, gushed to E! News on Sunday at the New York premiere of his flick. “We try our best, we put them first, and that’s what we do."

Ben, who separated from Jen in June after 10 years of marriage, told E! that he isn’t sure if he’ll let his littlest one, a big Batman fan, watch the superhero movie.

"Well, he can see some of it. I don’t know… it just depends. Every kid is different,” he said. “Like, I don’t know if he would be scared seeing me, like, if he would think it was really me getting thrown around and crashed and hurt. I don’t know if he could know the difference. So, we’ll see. I’ll warm him up."

The Insider With Yahoo recently caught up with Affleck, who dished on his kids’ visit to set. "First [they] were a little afraid of me. I had to take the mask off,” he shared. And while they may have been a bit timid around their dad, young Samuel was all about Superman. “He saw Henry [Cavill], he was like, ‘That is the real Superman.’”
