Is another longtime Hollywood relationship in trouble? It certainly seems that way, considering how viciously longtime BFFs Ben Affleck and Matt Damon bicker while vying for the attention of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a new video for Omaze.

First, let us give you some context. In partnership with charity fundraising website Omaze, Affleck, Damon, and Brady released a video announcing the site’s latest campaign: a raffle in which people can make a donation for a chance to get whisked away to the wilds of Boston to have beer and pizza with Matt, Ben, and Tom. Funds raised will be divided among three charities: Affleck’s Eastern Congo Initiative, founded to support conflict resolution in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Damon’s Water.org, created to provide clean drinking water across the world; and Brady’s TB12 Foundation, launched to help young athletes.

But early in the video, during which Affleck, 44, and Damon, 45, appear on a Skype conference call, it’s clear that there is a little tension between the two Oscar winners, who grew up together in Boston and are one of Hollywood’s most enduring bromances.

“For just 10 dollars, you and a friend can hang out with me and Tom Brady,” Affleck says, then lowers his voice, almost as if in grave disappointment. “And I guess also, um, Matt will be there.”

“Yeah, and also me because I’m also friends with Tom Brady,” Damon snaps back. (It should be noted he’s once again sporting his glorious man bun.)

“Yeah, no, I mean, sure, you know,” Affleck stammers, then quietly adds, “Lesser friends.”

The two go on to lay out the details of the experience, highlighting that the raffle winner will get to hang out with the guys at one of their favorite Boston eateries and maybe even throw a football around a little bit. But despite the fact that they are raising funds for a good cause, they both seem more focused on determining who’s a better friend of Brady.

“What’s this? It looks like I’m getting a text from Tom Brady,” Affleck says with glee.

“What does it say?” Damon demands to know.

“It says, ‘Hey B.A.’ – he uses my initials,” Affleck explains. “We use each other’s initials because we have a … we’re close … it’s not … don’t make a thing out of it.”

After Affleck explains Brady’s absence from Skype, Damon can’t help but ask: “Did he put an emoji on the end?”

Affleck says yes — the ‘fist bump!’

“Dammit,” Damon mutters, turning away from the screen in disgust.

As they continue to argue, Damon takes a swipe at Affleck’s performance in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Affleck takes a jab at Jason Bourne. Affleck then gets really petty and brings up that time Damon couldn’t stop staring at Brady’s cleft chin, only to have Damon throw some chin shade back at Affleck. The two then fight over what Brady’s nickname is.

Finally, Brady appears and lightens the mood, sharing more about the charities the raffle benefits.

“I can’t wait to meet you and tell you which one of these guys I like better,” the 39-year-old football star cracks.

While we eagerly support the charitable message and the opportunity for fans to connect with this trio over Boston-based brews and pizza, please, Mr. Brady, we beg of you: Don’t come between Affleck and Damon. We just can’t handle another celebrity breakup right now.
