Barbra Streisand Blasts Donald Trump in an Essay: ‘This Is Unlike Anything We’ve Ever Seen Before’

Barbra Streisand is back at it. The legendary singer is joining other famous celebs, like Meryl Streep, who are speaking out against President-elect Donald Trump. In a new essay for the Huffington Post, Streisand was candid about her worries with the upcoming administration.

She described Trump as dangerous and unfit for office. But the one thing that she can’t put up with is his character. She wrote, “I cannot, however, respect a racist, xenophobic sexist who puts us all at risk with his behavior.”

Streisand also called out Trump for having time to tweet about everything. The president-elect has been known to slam everyone who disagrees with him over social media. She said, “This is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Our presidents are usually magnanimous and understand the gravity of the office and our democracy.”

The article also discussed other pressing issues like Russia, health care, and economic policies. But the music icon concluded the op-ed with a rallying tone, saying, “We are all in this together, and it is our right and responsibility to protect our freedoms and help our fellow citizens.”
