Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith Sell L.A. Mansion for Nearly $16 Million
Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith have sold their former family home in Hancock Park for a whopping $15.947 million, their listing agent Brett Lawyer confirms to Yahoo.
While that price tag is pretty hefty, you might say the new owners are buying a little piece of Hollywood history — and making history themselves. Per Variety, it’s the most expensive sale ever for a single-family home in the affluent neighborhood.

Designed by Hoover Dam architect Gordon B. Kaufman in 1925, Banderas and Griffith purchased the Italian Revival-style mansion in 1999.
The 15,110-square-foot home features lots of details, including hand-stenciled coffered ceilings, vaulted beams, and wood-paneled ceilings. It also boasts 13 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a paneled library, a two-story kitchen, and four fireplaces.
Did we mention the residence also has an elevator, a recording studio, a gym, and a two-story banquet hall?
In 2000, the couple purchased the property next door, demolished the house, and used the extra space to create the lovely 1.5-acre estate that exists today. Of course, there are plenty of balconies to take in the massive grounds, which include a rose and vegetable garden and a swimming pool.
