Amy Schumer wants everyone to know that she was just joking when she spoke about the Kardashians during her recent hosting stint on the comedy show Saturday Night Live.

“We have to be a role model for these little girls because who do they have? All they have, literally, is the Kardashians,” Schumer said during her opening monologue. “And is that a great message for little girls? A whole family of women that take the faces they were born with as a light suggestion?” She continued, “We used to have Khloé. Khloé was ours, right? Whenever there’s a group of women, you identify with one of them, right? Khloé, she lost half her body weight. She lost a Kendall, and we have nothing."

Although the bit worked with audiences, it did not sit well with Khloé, who took it far too seriously judging by the response she posted on Twitter.

Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner sounded off on Schumer’s references to her family during a red-carpet interview with the Associated Press on Monday. While Jenner said she hadn’t seen the show because she was traveling, she implied that she didn’t approve, giving a fake smile and, when asked for her reaction, saying, "You know… It’s all in good fun, I guess.”

On the same day, Schumer wisely squelched a potential Twitter feud with Khloé and all the rest of the Kardashians with a simple post.

It didn’t hurt that she included a photo of her adorable niece. Think they’ll get over it now?
