Alec Baldwin Blasted Donald Trump for Criticizing ‘SNL’

From Esquire

When Donald Trump tweeted to complain about the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live, hardly anyone was surprised. After all, this is the man who has sent four tweets just to complain about the cast of Hamilton politely asking Mike Pence to protect their rights. And this is hardly the first time he has taken issue with the show's portrayal of him.

But, this was the first time that Alec Baldwin, who plays Trump with hilarious and somewhat stunning accuracy, personally fired back at Trump.

Trump's orange, stumpy fingers went flying Sunday morning to critique the previous night's episode, which he characterized as "totally one-sided," "biased," and "nothing funny." He also pleaded for "equal time."

The equal time rule is part of the 1934 Communications Act that requires radio and broadcast televisions stations to treat legally qualified political candidates equally when it comes to selling or giving away air time." Of course, the equal time rule only applies during a campaign and, in case Trump hadn't noticed, the election is over.

On Sunday, Baldwin was not impressed with Trump's complaining and responded to the president-elect in a series of tweets lambasting him for focusing on

Actually, that sounds like a pretty good plan. Do you think anyone would notice if we kidnapped Trump after the inauguration, stuffed him in a White House closet with a four-year supply of coloring books and a non-stop live stream of every Miss America pageant, and let Alec Baldwin in a Trump wig be president for four years?

It's worth a shot, is all I am saying.
